3rd Night Of Protests Over Shooting Death Of Daunte Wright

CBS New York News Report

black lives matter

There was another night of unrest Tuesday in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where Daunte Wright was killed; CBS2’s Dick Brennan reports. Protests were peaceful late Tuesday afternoon, but as the sun set chaos erupted at the Brooklyn Center police station. Officers used pepper spray and fired flash bombs at protesters. Water bottles and other projectiles were thrown at officers in riot gear.

In response to the unrest, US President Joe Biden said peaceful protest was “understandable” but added: “I want to make it clear again: there is absolutely no justification, none, for looting.”
