Tandridge Crescent and Byng Avenue was the location of the incident that occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Police say there were reports of shots fired at four victims. An 11-year-old boy, a five-year-old girl and a 23-year-old male, were shot. A one-year-old boy was also grazed by a gunshot. The 23-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victims were rushed to hospital. The one-year-old has since been released, while the injured adult is expected to survive.
“My heart goes out to the victims and the families of the victims and to all the people that were involved because this is a traumatizing experience for that neighbourhood, which is a wonderful neighbourhood full of wonderful people,” Mayor John Tory told CP24 on Sunday morning.
Supt. Ron Taverner said Saturday that the suspects were seen fleeing the area in a vehicle, but a suspect vehicle description has not been released.
