50 Cent Is Willing To Do Verzuz Against The Game

CELEBRITY NEWS - Kevin Douglas Article

50 Cent and his former G Unit member, The Game, could be uniting once again.

Verzuz has been a platform to bring together artists of iconic stature to showcase their catalogs in battle form. The advantage of having a deep catalog tends to lean to the veteran artists wanting to participate more likely than newer artists. Swizz Beatz and Timbaland also seem to lean towards the concept being geared at iconic and veteran artists.

The concept does not limit itself to only hip hop, but has worked with pioneering artists such as Gladys Knight and Patti Labelle. The most recent announcement included Jeezy and Gucci Mane willing to put their bitter past in the past to celebrate their music.

We may be seeing another beef that lasted for years finally come to a public end if we could see The Game and 50 Cent both in the same room together. 50 Cent didn’t seem to keen to compete on the show when he was challenged by T.I.

Fif explained in his recent interview with Big Boy that the Verzuz battles were appealing to him when we were on lockdown.

“If you think about, from my time period, there’s nothing that can match that run,” Fif said about getting involved in Verzuz, implying that there’s no one from that era that would make it a fair match up.

When asked who he’d go against, Fif said that The Game would probably be the only person who would make sense. Over the weekend, Wack 100 put out a public call to 50 Cent and The Game to go hit-for-hit on the Swizz Beatz & Timbo-led production. However, Fif did lay down the rules.

“You know what? Look. Okay, he can’t play no records with my voice on it,” Fif said with a grin on his face before admitting that The Game “got some hits.”

“As much as we argued and fought in the early stages, I would rather see him benefit from the momentum than someone else,” he said. “He was still part of G-Unit and is gonna be a part of the legacy of — overall. Even if you just want to focus on the break up.”

You can hear it from 50 Cent in the video below at the 13 minute mark.
