Gucci Mane set fireworks on The Breakfast Club in 2016 in a memorable interview with the cast of Charlamagne, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee. Originally known for his controversies and legal drama at the early stages of his career, he has been a great example of someone turning their lives around for the hip hop community to follow.
The rapper now has being promoted with luxury brands as Gucci’s S/S 2020 campaign and he has been hot with the music dropping songs with Megan Thee Stallion.
Gucci Mane has also physically turned his life around and had shed plenty of pounds that his wife stated was due to his addiction to lean. It would seem that everyone would want Gucci Mane on their platform to speak about these life changing events, but according to Gucci Mane this is not the case.
Gucci suggested on Instagram that Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club has put him on a blacklist of artists who will not appear on their show. It is rooted in that same 2016 interview mentioned above. Gucci Mane made an allegation that Angela Yee wanted to get with the rapper.
“We were cool [but]…I was not on your d*ck,” Angela said as DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God laughed loudly in the background. Gucci looks around stunned and said, “You text me what hotel you was at…” Angela stated he was lying and must have had her confused with another woman, and when he mentioned an interview they’d previously done together, she said, “That definitely wasn’t me.” However, Gucci spliced the interviews together to prove that he wasn’t lying about his encounters with the radio host. “Wow! So you mean to tell me The breakfast club BANNED me 4 this? #TruthHurts#getoffmydick 😂🍆,” he wrote in the caption.
Angela Yee jumped into the comment section and made a proclamation that Gucci Mane has reverted back to his old ways once again by stating he was back on drugs.
