A COVID-19 diagnosis by Ashanti caused the delay of an anticipated showdown with Keyshia Cole. Word has now come that the two divas will get their day in the sun.
It was expected by fans to see Ahsanti and Keyshia Cole at it last December, but now weeks later “Verzuz” under its original format of not having participants in the same room will ensue.
“RAIN, SLEET, HAIL, SNOW LET’S GO,” the caption reads in a post on the Verzuz Instagram Page. “Join us Thursday, January 21st as we kick off the first #VERZUZ of 2021 with @Ashanti and @KeyshiaCole. Thank you everyone for being patient with us. We can’t wait for this magical night with Keyshia and Ashanti! Tune in Thursday, January 21st, 5PM PT / 8PM ET. Watch on our IG or in HD on @AppleMusic.”
Of course, anything can happen as in the December 2020 date, but the women are scheduled for the face off.
