The friendship between music power couple Jay Z and Beyonce and political power couple Barack Obama and Michelle Obama is well documented.
Unlike other politicians tend to due with rappers in terms of distancing themselves from hip hop artists in the limelight, The Obamas make it well known their affection for Jay Z and his wife. Michelle Obama has been touring the country while on her book tour for Becoming. During her Washington stop, the former 1st lady received a surprise.
Her husband Barack made a cameo appearance on Nov. 18 to her delight. The 44th President of the United States made an unannounced appearance on stage to not only onlookers, but his wife.

“There are so many times where I just want him—like, I know, all of you—to just curse them out,” Michelle Obama said. “Just say these things. And he’s like, ‘Well, that’s not the point.’ You know, the president isn’t the president for his own ego. The president is the president for the entire country. So we have to be very mindful of what we say and how we say it.”
Barack Obama showed he was a proud husband for his wife’s successful sales of her book which has already sold more than 725,000 copies the day it hit bookstores making it the largest single-day total for any book published by Penguin Random House in 2018.
