Jay Z once spit on one of his songs that Beyonce was the baddest female in the game and now Beyonce has put together a playlist of “Classy, Bougie, Ratchet” on Tidal. This comes on the heels of her single remix with Megan Thee Stallion’s “Say So Remix”.
Beyonce put together 39 tracks total which curated a mix of hip-hop and R&B favourites past and present. The list includes female rappers like Lil’ Kim, Trina, Kash Doll, City Girls, Lil’ Keke, and Missy Elliott. The Texan also made sure to show love to her roots with Southern love to Texas natives like Travis Scott, Slim Thug, Bun B, Paul Wall, Maxo Kream, and, of course, her sister, Solange. She also included her Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland’s new single, “Coffee,” as well.
Beyonce also made sure to include legends and icons who paved the way for women in music by adding them to the playlist. Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson, and Sade, as well as promising newcomers like Don Toliver, Omb Bloodbath, Cookiee Kawaii, and Tobe Nwigwe.
