Beyoncé Shows Off Rap Flow at Mandela 100

Everyone knows Jay Z is considered to be one of the greatest rappers to ever live and his wife is one of the most talented woman on the planet. However, she stunned the audience at Global Citizen festival with a killer performance of her rap skills as apart of the commemoration of what would have been Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z headlined the charity festival, hosted by Trevor Noah. Pharrell Williams, Kacey Musgraves, and other artists also performed. The Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 celebrated the life and legacy of the South African leader and human rights activist Nelson Mandela, and supports a campaign to end extreme poverty.

As we celebrate the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, honoring your centennial year, I promise you that we have made your dreams our own. I cherish every moment shared in your presence and use the lessons learned from you as fuel to stir positive ideas and solutions

Beyoncé wrote a letter before the event to illustrate how much Nelson Mandela meant to her. She plans to follow the dreams he sent forth by continuing to fight for the struggle. Her intense performance at the event only shows the truth in her passion of how much Mandela had an affect on her.

While fans in attendance were very pleased with Beyoncé’s performance tonight there was upset fans of the live stream which got cut at 25 minutes of the performance. Organizers stated on Twitter, forewarning viewers that the party would be over within a half-hour. “Beyonce & Jay-Z’s full show remains exclusive to those who earned their tickets. i.e. Those at the stadium,” SABC1 TV tweeted.
