CASH MONEY IS AN ARMY
In 1999, Cash Money rose to great heights with a new sound that took over the hip hop world. The cast led by Birdman, Juvenile, Turk, BG, Manny Fresh, and of course Lil’ Wayne started trends and created culture words such as “Bling”. The movement made Lil Wayne get a lane of his own with “Young Money” Records that would be known as the home of future stars such as Drake and Nicki Minaj.
As is often the case in business, money issues arose that created disruption in the camp. Birdman was accused of not paying producers including his own Manny Fresh. Turk and BG would wind up in prison and Lil Wayne would end up disassociating himself with his “father”.

Birdman’s inaction of handing over payments led to one of the biggest moments in Breakfast Club history where he walked out on the crew at Power 105.5Fm when he felt they were not putting “Respect on his name”.
Lil Wayne would end up winning a lawsuit where Court documents filed by Wayne’s attorney Howard King (obtained by The Blast) claim that all sides in the lawsuit were willing to move forward and dismiss the suit. Sources also claim that Wayne walked away with a settlement of “well over $10 million.”
Now as shown in the featured video at the top of the page that Birdman has publicly apologized for the whole public ordeal.
