Halle Berry received criticism for attempting to play a transgender man in a film, but now states she is no longer considering playing the role. People found out through an Instagram Live conversation Friday with hairstylist Christin Brown. “That’s a woman,” Berry told Brown. “That’s a female story. It changes to a man, but I want to understand the why and the how of that, you know?”

Berry apologized in a statement posted to social media Monday night.
“Over the weekend I had the opportunity to discuss my consideration of an upcoming role as a transgender man, and I’d like to apologize for those remarks,” Berry said. “As a cisgender woman, I now understand that I should not have considered this role, and that the transgender community should undeniably have the opportunity to tell their own stories.”
“I am grateful for the guidance and critical conversation over the past few days and I will continue to listen, educate and learn from this mistake,” continued Berry, 53. “I vow to be an ally in using my voice to promote better representation on-screen, both in front of and behind the camera.”
@halleberry you should really consider NOT taking a trans person's role away from them

Halle Berry became the first Black woman to win the Oscar for lead actress in 2002, for her role in “Monster’s Ball.”

So the white LGBT community orchestrated a campaign to request that a trans person play the role of Storm, which is what Halle Berry is known for, in X-Men.
But Halle Berry playing a trans character is out of bounds?

This is Halle Berry, talking about playing the role of a trans man.
"It". "That's a woman." "A female story."

I want to know what idiot offered Halle Berry that part in the first place. Cancel them.

Halle Berry will play any role for money. She got an Oscar for the role that Angela Basset turned down because of its racial implications. They are always choosing a so called Black person to be mascot for LBGTQ agendas even though LBGTQ represents 2 or 3 % of the population

Halle Berry could play a watermelon in her next film and she’d still be gorgeous.
