As the headlines turn from the Derek Chauvin verdict of guilty to the shooting death of teenager Mahkia Bryant, it appears the unity of black America is split once again through Candace Owens.
The controversial figure who is outspoken on issues that include the impact of celebrities such as Cardi B and the touchy topic of police brutality. Last year she upset quite a few people when she was against George Floyd and believed he was at fault for his death by the hands of Derek Chauvin.
Body camera footage released by the Columbus Division of Police showed the officer, identified Wednesday as Reardon, getting out of his car at a house where police had been dispatched after someone had called 911 saying they were being physically threatened.
Owens got the ire of social media for her comments towards the death of the teenager Mahkia Bryant by an officer. She stated that, “Makhia Bryant was a knife-wielding maniac.
But the goal now is to convince black people to celebrate criminality so I’m really excited to learn about how heroic, kind, and inspiring this knife-wielding maniac was”. Needless to say this caused plenty of people to come at her online.

I do not care.
Normal sixteen year olds do not attempt to butcher another human being to death with a knife.
Neither her skin color or her age absolves her from any guilt. The responding officer is a hero. https://t.co/7blfrdBmuE

Lebron James who is known for using his platform to discuss inequalities and injustices happening across the nation got into heat over a tweet he posted with the officer saying “You’re Next”.
"YOU'RE NEXT"
This post by @KingJames could be read as an incitement to violence against a @ColumbusPolice officer who responded to the attempted stabbing attack by #MakhiaBryant. LeBron James has deleted the tweet. Here is an archive: https://t.co/6Dn4LnS22M #BLM pic.twitter.com/epH7EQFjuf— Andy Ngô (@MrAndyNgo) April 21, 2021
LeBron James has now deleted the tweet calling for the cop to be arrested for shooting the woman armed with a knife, but don’t worry. The internet is forever.
I blurred out the officer’s face on purpose. pic.twitter.com/dbv5dPrZ87

In a series of tweets later Wednesday, James explained why he deleted the tweet.
ANGER does any of us any good and that includes myself! Gathering all the facts and educating does though! My anger still is here for what happened that lil girl. My sympathy for her family and may justice prevail! 🙏🏾✊🏾🤎👑

I’m so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because its being used to create more hate -This isn’t about one officer. it’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY

Candace Owens who has beefed with Lebron James in the past, took the opportunity to take more shots at the NBA legend.
She was in the process of KILLING another human being!
You are a LOSER for defending this criminal. The police officer is a hero.
He SAVED a black life. https://t.co/nJGTEFNRIS— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) April 22, 2021
She took it further by jumping online to elaborate on why she disagrees with Lebron James and his supporters in the video below.
