#CaribSunday – Toronto Reggae Icons – Milton Douglas

#CaribSunday with WWETV. We take a look at Toronto hidden gems as reggae artist Milton Douglas is featured. He originally came onto the music scene in the 1970’s with Roger Bain with the single “She’s A Lover” that had a controversial album cover for its day as apart of the R & B group “Adopted Brothers”.

Milton Douglas would later have one of Toronto’s original home studios in the Jane and Finch area that kickstarted his solo career and released various projects in the 80’s. His last major project included singles such as “Can’t Trust No One” (start of the video) and “Unity”(16:56 mark).

Milton Douglas born on the West Indies island of Trinidad and Tobago grew up in Grenada and still currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. On this #CaribSunday we pay homage to one of the city’s pioneers.
