It was announced by Floyd Mayweather Jr, that he would be returning to boxing action in an exhibition against Logan Paul. Mayweather is one of the most decorated fighters in the sports’ history, but this does not excite one of the top promoters in the fight business today.
Dana White runs the UFC and has a pretty good grasp on promoting fights, but he does not see the value in a boxing legend facing off against a popular youtuber. White was speaking in an interview just hours after the announcement and revealed his thoughts on the scenario.
“Yeah … when people ask me about the state of boxing right now, that’s where it’s at,” White said. “Didn’t that kid get beaten up by the f*cking video game kid from England and now he’s going to fight Floyd Mayweather?”
