Dash Gwoppo (formerly Dash Gwoppovelli) is a rapper and musician born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. The proud father of three girls, he regards fatherhood as one of his most challenging and rewarding experiences. Growing up with his father imprisoned for 17 years, and then his passing shaped his life and music.

Dash Gwoppo’s love for music began at an early age. He quickly became fascinated by the 1999-2000’s era of rap – especially Lil Wayne, Birdman, and other artists on the Cash Money label. His interest in music intrigued friend and producer Virgil Amison and resulted in Dash Gwoppo recording with him in the studio at only nine years old.

As he grew into his own sound, Dash studied and practiced his craft while attending school at Taft Tech High. After graduating, he attended college, which was quickly halted just as he began to settle in. Arrested for drug trafficking, possession, and tampering with evidence, Dash Gwoppo was convicted and incarcerated from 2012 to 2018.

Once released from prison, Dash Gwoppo quickly put his past behind him and focused on his music again. His first single, “Lifestyle,” (produced by Yung Berg aka Hitmaker), was released in July 2018 and hit over 100,000 streams. His next single, “Change-Up,” featuring Lil Baby, reached over 400,000 streams across music platforms.

In 2019, he released “Bad One” and “Top Down,” which reached over 275,000 and 250,000 streams. In 2020, His single “God’s Grace” received over 500,000 views on YouTube and over 300,000 streams.

Dash Gwoppo followed up his success with features from Tory Lanez and unreleased tracks featuring Gunna, Young Thug, and Roddy Ricch. He performed at Jingle Jam and has opened for Migos, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, T Grizzly, Trippie Redd, and more.

Dash is a driven rap artist who wants to use his music to positively impact the world.
