The world of hip hop in 1996 was a hectic place as the so-called east coast versus west coast rivalry was dominating the industry. All the top rappers of the day ended up taking sides in the beef between Deathrow Records and Bad Boy Records.
It all came down to Tupac’s issues with Notorious BIG. There have been numerous stories and accounts from different sources about the time period. Now platinum songwriter and producer Delray Richardson goes into detail about witnessing a confrontation that took place between Nas and Tupac Shakur at the House Of Blues.
Richardson says Tupac believed Nas’ song “The Message” was later made because of the confrontation. Ironically, the legendary NBA star, Kobe Bryant, also met Tupac on that same night.
