DMX is one of the best selling hip hop artists of all time and is a beloved figure in rap which has led to a huge funeral procession of the icon.
He will be receiving there two memorial services. The first took take place on Saturday, April 24 at 4 p.m. eastern time. The “Homegoing Celebration” will take place on Sunday, April 25 at 2:30 p.m. eastern time.
Only close family and friends were allowed to attend the services in person, but this didn’t stop the Yonkers native’s huge following from hitting up the Barclay’s Center to pay their last respects.
The Saturday service was live-streamed on DMX’s Youtube channel from the Barclays Center. The Sunday memorial service will broadcast live on BET.
It was rumored earlier in the week that an all-star cast of celebrities would show up for the event such as Kanye West. It is only fitting that the “Jesus Walks” rapper would pay his last respects to the man who appeared at multiple “Sunday Service” events held by West.
