Jussie Smollett has been released on bond from prison after being charged for the felony of disorderly conduct for filing a false report. Authorities believe the actor did this due to being “dissatisfied with his salary” working for hit television show Empire.

He was also seen heading to the set of “Empire” to film scenes after leaving court.

The producers have announced that they will remove all of Smollett’s scenes from the final episodes of the show’s current season.

Empire’s producers, including series co-creators Danny Strong and Lee Daniels, released a statement Friday morning confirming that they would be cutting the role of Jamal Lyon, which Smollett has played since the series’ debut in 2015, from the remaining two episodes of season five.
