Kanye West has done some major tuneups to his “DONDA” album and fans are speaking on the alleged sneak diss to the Toronto rapper Drake.
There has been a love and hate relationship between Drake and Kanye West over the years. The biggest issue seems to have stemmed from Drake not respecting his early mentor for producing the diss song “Story Of Addidon” by Pusha T that revealed to the world that Drizzy had a hidden child out somewhere in the world.
Things started to escalate when it appeared Drake responded to Kanye by making claims towards his then wife Kim Kardashian allegedly that got Kanye heated. The rapper himself had speculated the lyrics of “Kiki, do you love me?” in the song “In My Feelings” is very telling since Kiki happens to be one of Kim’s nicknames. Plus the lyrics, “I crept down the block, made a right, cut the lights, paid the price,” in the song “Sicko Mode” with Travis Scott served as another indication to fans that the two slept together. The theory is that those are the directions from Drake’s house to Kim’s.
It appeared that everything was back on good terms with Drake and Kanye West when a respected media personality, Karen Civil, admitted there was no more beef between the two after rumors started flying that Drake may drop his next album “Certified Lover Boy” on the same day as “DONDA”.
As fans anticipated Kanye’s latest album a few weeks ago, the artist delayed the project and stated he would release his new music on August 6th. The previous weekend Drake made an announcement for the long weekend in his city that “Certified Lover Boy” was complete and ready to go. That caused many people to assume that Drake was planning to counter the release of DONDA on Sirius XM radio stating “Don’t bother people soul you know what I’m saying, OVO we aim for the head we don’t aim to please”.
Old rumors of Drake and Kim Kardashian hooking up reared its head again in earlier in 2021. And while the reality star has shut down rumors in the past, fans are starting to believe that there may be some truth to the matter. Fans believe that Drake called out his alleged affair with Kim on the song “Wants and Needs.”
Kanye West being the perfectionist he is, decided to polish up DONDA and add more content to the project that is now expected to be a 24 song album. During the live listening stream at Mercedes-Benz stadium, Kanye delivered some lyrics which fans are taking as a sneak diss at Drake.
“Now I can give a dollar to every person on Earth man, it’s gotta be God’s plan (Drake’s music video) Man, I swear these boys(The Boy) keep playin/We gon’ have to square up then”, were the words heard by the rap billionaire.

This isn’t to diss Drake either, as he has many records that I enjoy. The main issue with his music is his pop appeal, which has resulted in greater sales but less artistic integrity. Drake simply doesn’t take the chances that Kanye has (think 808s and Heartbreak and Yeezus)
