Brandy and Monica broke records with their Verzuz celebration. The two women who rose to prominence in the music world in the 1990’s also became talk of being bitter rivals over “The Boy Is Mine”.
It was a back and forth friendship between the two women and when it was announced the two would appear on the Swizz Beatz and Timbaland platform, many fans rejoiced that they put their differences aside for good.
The women really gave a great night of entertainment as they hovered over the million mark for the majority of the broadcast on Instagram. The final numbers for the total show should be quite interesting when the other outlets such as Apple TV is counted. Monica and Brandy filmed at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. Monica dropped new heat featuring Lil Baby during the show.

A star studded audience tuned in that included the likes of Halle Berry, Michelle Obama, Snoop Dogg, Omarion, Keyshia Cole, Lil Mo, Eric Bellinger, Jermaine Dupri, Stevie J, La La Anthony, Lena Waithe, Sevyn, Erykah Badu, DaniLeigh, Killer Mike, Joyner Lucas, Jacob Latimore, Kehlani, Lenny Kravitz, and many more.
There were some moments that could be seen as shade being thrown by some who watched the event. Earlier in the Verzuz, Brandy said that she and Monica were a “group” to which Monica quickly stated, “We are not a group!”.
Brandy would end the show telling everyone to look out for the tour. However, social media took screenshots and came to their own conclusions that somehow Monica was not feeling Brandy throughout the program.
