Roland Martin discusses a recent altercation on a red carpet affair that saw legendary Halle Berry make time for ignored African American media outlets. He goes into depth about an issue plaguing the entertainment industry which is public relations managers having their clients avoid certain media they deem as to underground or ethnic for their clients to give interviews to regardless if they were given media credentials to appear at the event.
Emerald Marie speaks about how the situation went down on the red carpet for “John Wick 3” as there were only two Black reporters, according to Emerald Marie. A publicist told her that Halle Berry was just too busy to have a quick interview with her. However, Halle Berry saw things differently as she made sure to meet up with the Black reporters. Marie says she said, “I can’t skip my brother and sister.”
Halle Berry has been applauded for her acknowledgement of black media by celebrity reporters such as Jemele Hill.
