Foxy Brown Memoir Announced

LEGENDS & ICONS OF HIP HOP - Post By Kevin Douglas

female rappers

The 1990’s era of rap holds a dear spot to many people and one of its top female artists is ready to tell all in a new book.

Women in rap went to another level with sexual content and popularity through the likes of Lil’ Kim and Foxy Brown in the 90’s. They were apart of an iconic beef and now we may hear inside stories about it via Foxy Brown. The rapper has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the history of hip hop such as Nas and Jay-Z.

Her followers saw Brown write “Book coming soon” and tagged former Editor-In-Chief of The Source Magazine, Kim Osorio, adding that Osorio was partnering with her in the release. She also left a caption letting everyone know it will indeed be a historical piece.

“20 YEARS later and still the most controversial book to come out in Hip Hop,” Osorio wrote in the caption of a screenshot of Foxy’s announcement. “Still written by ME. i only write the best stories. #younotready #ireallywrite #foxybrown #foxboogiebrown #foxboogie #hiphop #everybodyaintmeanttohaveabook.”

In the comments, Foxy added, “[white heart emoji]u Kimmy!!!!!”

It should also be noted that Foxy Brown’s rival Lil’ Kim is also coming out with her own book on her life sometime in November. Fans have been asking for a “Verzuz” encounter between the two artists and perhaps this winter around the release of the books would be an opportune time to bury the hatchet.
