Mase has returned with a new song against apparently his former collaborator and label owner Diddy.
The former Bad Boy released on March 15th entitled “Oracle 2: Standing on Bodies,” that people are stating is a 2017 Cam’ron diss “The Oracle.” The single does not have a direct name drop of Diddy, but there are are few words that appears to be directed at the Bad Boy Records founder.
“We ain’t gang, we ain’t goals/We ain’t family, we ain’t foes/And we definitely not bros/We ain’t nothin’, n***a,” Mase begins on the hook.
“N****s sayin’ let it go/You buggin’ n***a, I can’t let it be/Tell n****s don’t call for me, I can only talk for me/I know what my budget read/I read the budget every week,” he raps in the first verse, appearing to reference how he attempted to buy his publishing rights from Diddy in 2020 for $2 million. “Then they tried to dangle money, they didn’t think I’d ever leave/N****s never pay the artists/But they love to pay the freaks.”
On the second verse, Mase rapped, “Since Cain killed Abel, I’m able to kill Cain/Love don’t steal, my n***a, change your name,” alluding to Diddy’s name change to “Love.’
Freddy P who has been speaking about the issues he had with Diddy during a reality series years ago, has let everyone know how he despises Diddy. It made “Making The Band” trend once again online as the MTV reality show was headed by the iconic Diddy.
As clips were going viral, Diddy seemingly reacted. He wrote a message on Instagram about people needing to “hustle harder.” He said, “STOP ALL YOUR CRYING, BITCHING & MOANING. HUSTLE HARDER OR GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR WAY. – LOVE.” Take a look at a screenshot shared by The Shade Room blog:
The whole ordeal ended up having former contestants Freddy P, Willie Taylor, and Baps Bunny reacting to his response. Willie said the show was an “experience,” but the platform was designed for them to fail.” Baps, just kept a simple response at “keep it pushing.”
