It’s Thursday Throwback, but fans of historic comedy series for the hip hop world may be able to live new memories as it is being reported that Will Smith is working on Fresh Prince Of Bel Air spinoff.
According to a new article at The Hollywood Reporter, Will Smith is developing a spinoff to his ’90s sitcom through his multimedia company Westbrook.
Smith “still earns hefty royalties from the 1990s NBC sitcom, now licensed to air in 193 territories,” the article explains. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air originally aired on NBC from 1990 to 1996. The show was co-created by Quincy Jones and Will Smith portrayed a fictionalized version of himself with the late James Avery, Janet Louise Hubert, Alfonso Ribeiro, and others.
