The rap world today has no doubt been influenced by the work of Future, but would he have been bigger than Michael Jackson in his prime?

While the question may seem ludicrous to long term music lovers, a social media statement by a Future fan had the claim that if Future was around in 1982 that Michael Jackson would have never reached the level of success with the record breaking Thriller as he did. The person basically stated that Future would prevent the rocket of Michael Mania.son’s rise in the ‘80s? At least one Future fan seems to think so.

Twitter user @TMACCBLUE made the bold claim in a Friday tweet, writing: “If HNDRXX woulda came out in 1982 MJ woulda never blew up.” The post has since received more than 15,000 likes and over 4,000 retweets.

It is still up in the air if the tweet was serious or was a joke as a Twitter follower stated below.
