Gucci Mane has recently celebrated the birth of child with wife Keyshia Ka’oir, but now is receiving legal issues surrounding a shooting at his artist Foogiano’s South Carolina concert a few months ago.
Two people were killed and eight others were injured during the show. 23-year-old mother-of-two Mykala Bell was standing near the stage and 51-year-old security guard Clarence Sterling Johnson lost their lives on that night.
A wrongful death lawsuit has officially been filed, in which Gucci Mane and Foogiano are both named. Gucci did not perform at the event, but is being included in the legal affairs due to being labeled as the promoter.
Gucci Mane and Foogiano are accused of not providing enough security at the concert. Concertgoers were allegedly not patted down prior to entering the venue, and, as a result, “dangerous persons were permitted inside the club with deadly weapons.”
Jarquez Kezavion Cooper has been charged in the crime, which police are claiming was a gang-related incident.
Foogiano acknowledged the shooting and made a public statement days after the incident.
