On the 23rd anniversary of his death, the Universal Hip Hop Museum located at the Bronx Point will honor Biggie Smalls. The 1990’s saw the rise of hip hop that was rooted in street poetry hit the mainstream.
As the westcoast hip hop world was charting on Billboard, New York saw a comeback to mainstream with Notorious BIG. He kept the legacy of the birthplace of hip hop in New York with his rhyme schemes and clever wordplay.
