Beyonce is one of the biggest artists in the world today with the nurturing of her father Matthew Knowles at a young age.
Leah A. Henry’s podcast Leah’s Lemonade had the father of Beyonce and Solange on as a guest. He talked about several topics which included movies, his IMPACT show, and more. There was a point during the interview where things got a little tense though. DR. Matthew Knowles felt offended by the topic of social media and its comparisons between Beyoncé and Chloe Bailey of Chloe x Halle. Beyoncé has helped the sister duo and they have a connection which creates the comparisons of Chloe with the younger Destiny’s Child version of Beyonce. Leah A. Henry made the patriarch of the Knowles family upset at the thought and as well when she suggested the singer to potentially play the legendary Queen Bey in any upcoming movies about her.
Beyonce’s father who was instrumental in creating the star that she is today blasted the host saying, “You’ve got to be kidding me, right? You’re asking me that question?” said Dr. Knowles. “Are you actually serious that you are comparing that young lady to Beyoncé?” When Leah specified that the question was geared more about a potential biopic, Knowles opened up. “Okay, if you’re talking about a movie– not talent-wise. Talent-wise? Are you telling me talent-wise, somebody is an idiot enough to compare her to Beyoncé talent-wise? Are there people saying her talent is equal to Beyonce? They’re idiots. That’s actually insulting to Beyoncé.”
The interview ended up being a disaster at the end as viewers were commenting about him being too harsh on the young artist and shady with his commentary. He also didn’t gain any points for wanting to be called “Mr. Knowles’. He abruptly left the podcast.
