The wife of Will Smith has somewhat addressed the “slap heard round the world” apparently. A new report from Us Weekly shared an update from sources close to the spouse of the iconic actor and rapper. The public has been wondering what exactly are the thoughts of the celebrity couple since the social media fall out over the now infamous Oscar moment.”It was in the heat of the moment and it was him overreacting,” they told the outlet. “He knows that, she knows that. They’re in agreement that he overreacted,” they added, confirming that Jada is not “angry with” Will, however she “wishes he didn’t” get physical with her Madagascar co-star.

“Will Smith just smacked the s—t out of me,” was something that no one would have expected to come out of Chris Rock’s hosting from this year’s Oscars ceremony. The curse words did not stop there as Will Smith yelled soon after  “keep my wife’s name out your f—king mouth.”

The couple, who have been married since 1997, received support from their loved ones amid the scandal. “They protect their family. They’re all about their family and their kids. They’ve done everything to build this life for themselves,” the source continued about the pair, who share son Jaden, 23, and daughter Willow, 21, together. “They are very much protected in their own lives and do the absolute best they can to protect their loved ones.”
