2001 was the last time Jamie Foxx appeared in television sitcom and now 20 years later he inks a deal for a return to the medium. Foxx will be joined in the cast by In Living Color alum, David Alan Grier, as well as sitcom pros Porscha Coleman (The Parkers) and Jonathan Kite (2 Broke Girls).
The show will be titled, “Dad, Stop Embarrassing Me”, with Foxx’s daughter, Corrine Foxx, who works alongside her father on Fox’s “Beat Shazam”. Her role on the new show has not been confirmed as of yet.
Jamie Foxx associate, Bentley Kyle Evans, has been working with Foxx on shows such as “Family Time” and “The Jamie Foxx Show”. The arrival of the father-daughter sitcom has not been officially slated for a release date on Netflix, nor has a production schedule been confirmed during ongoing complications due to COVID-19.
