“Yes, there is only so much one can take…sometimes you have to slap back,” Hubert, who played Aunt Vivian during the first three seasons of “Fresh Prince,” wrote in an Instagram post Sunday night.

Smith won best actor at Sunday’s ceremony at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for his performance as Venus and Serena Williams’ father in the tennis biopic “King Richard.”

He apologized to the Academy and to his fellow nominees during his acceptance speech, but didn’t mention Rock.

“Celebrate the win…nothing else matters,” Hubert continued in her Instagram post. “Both actions were incorrect but Chris didn’t need to go there. Met him once… it was enough for me…very mean spirited.”

Smith has also received support from actress Tiffany Haddish, who told People it “meant so much” to her to see “a Black man stand up for his wife.”

“And maybe the world might not like how it went down, but for me, it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen because it made me believe that there are still men out there that love and care about their women, their wives,” Haddish said.
