The one-time Roc-A-Fella Records employee Choke No Joke has released a video going into detail about his former boss Jay Z. He explains how Jay Z is an undercover hater who signs artists he fears or wants to keep under his thumb to prevent competition.
He uses the example of Jay Z’s wife, Beyonce, dropping music for Lion King is not coincidental of Nas’ Lost Tape project. It should also be noted the way Jay Z and Beyonce also dropped their joint album on the same day Nas released his album that was produced by Kanye West. Choke No Joke makes the conclusion that Jay is still not totally over his beef with Nas from the early part of the century.
Choke No Joke also gets into more about Jay Z not giving back to the communities and people who helped him become a billionaire. Choke No Joke talks about the historic night when Jay Z brought out Cam’ron on stage and believes it was done to humiliate Damon Dash and to have the legendary New York rappers he beefed with “kiss the ring”. He speaks about Jaz O signing to Rocafella and why he feels Jay Z is exploiting the likes of Meek Mill and more.
In fairness, there is a lot of tension between Choke No Joke and Jay Z due to past altercations which he describes in an interview below.
