The death of rap star, DMX, has affected the whole hip hop industry and the greats of the business came out to show their last respects to the Yonkers icon.
The event saw the whole Ruff Ryders camp come out to speak their thoughts on how DMX affected their lives by being the foundation that helped launch their hip hop careers. Eve, The Lox, and Swizz Beatz ended the first day program with teardrops for the viewers live and online.
The memorial was preceded by the DMX procession of bikes taking over the streets of New York. The trip began in Yonkers with the final destination being in Brooklyn. However, some of the greatest rap legends in the history of New York rap made their way to the event.
Caught on camera backstage was the dressing rooms for Nas, Kanye West, and Jay-Z. Of course, this created a buzz due to the proximity of the former Roc-a-fella rap partners of Kanye and Jay-Z who have not been seen together in quite some time.
