Jonathan Majors Attorney’s Statement

Shortly after police arrested Jonathan Majors, his defense attorney Priya Chaudhry issued a statement. Chaudhry said that she expects the charges will be dropped “imminently.” She added that Majors is “completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows.” Chaudhry added, “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”

Though Majors hasn’t responded to the claims, Chaudhry added that they have obtained footage from the vehicle. Additionally, they also have testimony from witnesses, which they believe will exonerate Majors on all charges. “This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations,” Chaudhry added.
