Kanye West apologized to Drake in a series of tweets Wednesday over the St. Pablo album cut “Lift Yourself” production and West’s alleged role in the Pusha-T diss tracks “Infrared” and “The Story of Adidon.”
KANYE WEST SHOWING LOVE
“Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew… I understand where the confusion started,” West tweeted. “Let me start by apologizing for stepping on your release date in the first place … We were building a bond and working on music together including squashing the issues with [Kid] Cudi at our office.”
“Because we spoke about doing Lift Yourself together I should have given you the opportunity for us to do this together before I released it,”
Kanye West seems to truly feel the need to fix that bridge between him and Toronto’s popular hip hop artist. The beef with Pusha T definitely added more drama since Pusha T handles West’s music label as President.
“Since we were building as friends and brothers I should have spoken to Pusha about the Quentin Miller bar. There should have been no songs with my involvement that had any negative energy towards you.”
Kanye West goes further to address the notion by fans that he fed the information to Pusha T about having a secret son which was suppose to be the surprise to his fans on his “Scorpion” album. Instead the news came from Pusha T on the diss track.
“I never listened to either diss track that followed but I did hear quotes from both songs after they were released. I did not have any conversations about your child with Pusha. I don’t play with the idea of people’s children after I spoke to Wiz [Khalifa] a few years earlier,”
This comment comes after the rumor mill in the last couple of days that Drake has something over the West and Kardashian clan, but Kim Kardashian has come out to deny the gossip. Some fans seemed to believe that Kim might be the Kiki in the song “In My Feelings.” The tea was Drake had been sneaking down the street to have an affair with Kim to get back at Kanye. This is some 90’s throwback hip hop to the days of Biggie Smalls wife being accused of having an affair with Tupac Shakur.
Kanye’s early morning tweets came after word got out about a statement Drake made on a song with French Montana which was an obvious leak. In a snippet from the forthcoming “No Stylist” Drake can be heard rapping “I told her don’t wear no 350s ’round me.”
