The NBA Finals is now tied at one game apiece. The defending champions, Golden State Warriors, pulled off a gutsy win in the second game of the series to tie the series. Drake has been very comedic in his trolling for the Finals and last night (June 2), provided comic relief using an image of Macaulay Culkin from the hit movie “Home Alone”.
It was a stab at the Warriors all-star Kevin Durant, who has been missing in action due to injury. Durant had the last laugh however, as his team won 109-104. He rubbed it in Drake’s face when he commented “See you in the Bay, Aubrey. You weren’t talking tonight were you?”
Drake’s antics have not only been addressed by Kevin Durant in the NBA Finals, but also Draymond Green who stated how Drake is a unique fan that is given liberties unlike other Raptors fans.
“He’s a fan. He talks and it gets more attention because he’s Drake,” Green. “So many people are complaining about it, like, ‘You don’t let any other fan do that.’ Yeah, any other fan is just not Drake, so they probably shouldn’t be able to do that. That’s just kind of how the cookie crumbles.”
Commissioner Adam Silver, meanwhile, felt Drake went over the line in rubbing Raptors coach Nick Nurse’s shoulders during an Eastern Conference final game, but also said that he appreciated the rapper’s “super-fan status and I know he’s beloved in the community of Toronto.”
Silver had a good view of Drake on Sunday, seated with Obama on the other side of the Scotiabank Arena lower bowl from the rapper’s seats.
