Keyshia Cole has been absent from making music for some time, but just how long has the songstress not put out any new music or visuals?
Keyshia Cole has been going through some life altering things in her life in recent years such as the passing of her mother. The life long drug habit of her mother was well known due to their reality show that aired on BET a few years ago. Still, the news of her mom’s passing because of drugs still was hard on the singer.
“This is so hard man. Can’t really even find the words,” Cole began. “I honestly don’t even know how to feel. You can never prepare for something like this… Ever!” Cole wrote that she’s been quoting Lons for weeks, because her “humor was unmatched.” “Naturally so funny, that’s what I loved about your personality,” Cole continued. “We all did.” In addition to thanking her and her mom’s “fans and supporters,” Cole also noted that it was Lons’s greatest wish to have “all of [her] children in one place.” Cole concluded her tribute by promising to fulfill that wish for Lons. “Even through our differences …. WE LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!” Cole wrote.
Cole and Lons co-starred on four BET series together, including Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is, Keyshia & Daniel: Family First, Keyshia Cole: All In, and Keyshia Cole: My New Life. “Every time my mom relapse, it breaks my heart more than it’s already been broken,” Cole wrote on Instagram back in 2018.
Keyshia Cole would appear on the popular Verzuz to face off with Ashanti. However, even that scenario came with issues originally. The show was canceled the first time due to Ashanti contracting COVID-19, from which she fully recovered. It seems she isn’t positive she’ll take the vaccine—not yet at least. “As far as getting the vaccine, I’m not sure about that. I feel like I need to see a little bit more, some more studies and some time has to go by,” she said.
Now to start of 2022, a fan asked Keyshia Cole about making new music and dropping an album. A fan of the singer jumped on Twitter to ask the star, “C’mon @KeyshiaCole where is the album, I need it?!?!?.” Cole responded to the question with “How long has it been ?.” Soon, other fans chimed on about wanting new music from Keyshia Cole.
