Kid Cudi will not be having any photo ops or reconciliations with Kanye West in the fashion that Toronto rapper Drake did a few months ago.
In a new interview with Esquire, the Cleveland, the former Yeezy collaborator made it be known quite frankly that he is not Drake in terms of forgiving past beefs. It was well publicized when Drake and Kanye finally squashed their issues late last year in hopes of getting Larry Hoover benefit concert mainstream press.
Pete Davidson was the wedge that came between Kanye and Kid Cudi, as Cudi kept a relationship with the comedian while he was dating Kim Kardashian. The ex-wife of Kanye’s choice of boyfriend caused the dissension that Kid Cudi believes won’t be rectified in his mind.
“With all due respect, I’m not Drake, who’s about to take a picture with him next week and be friends again, and their beef is squashed,” Cudi said. “That’s not me. What I say, I mean. I will be done with you. It’s gonna take a motherfucking miracle for me and that man to be friends again. I don’t see it happening. He gon’ have to become a monk.”

Kanye West once again took aim at Kid Cudi and Pete Davidson earlier in August, posting a fake cover of The New York Times on Instagram with a headline that read: “Skete Davidson Dead At Age 28,” referencing his split from Kardashian.
Kid Cudi found himself caught in the crossfires due to his relationship with Davidson, with Kanye publicly cutting him from his DONDA 2 album over perceived disloyalty.
“I JUST WANTED MY FRIEND TO HAVE MY BACK. THE KNIFE JUST GOES IN DEEPER,” he wrote on Instagram in February. “THE REASON I ASKED CUDI TO AT THE LEAST SPEAK TO SKETE IS BECAUSE FOR YEARS CUDI ALWAYS MADE IT SEEM LIKE IT WAS ME AND HIM AGAINST EVERYONE NOW THAT IM FIGHTING FOR MY FAMILY HE NOT BY MY SIDE THIS IS BIGGER THAN MUSIC.”
