Kylie Jenner Gets Backlash For Givenchy’s “Noose Necklace”

Already in hot water for her lion head piece at Fashion Week, Kylie Jenner starts another online backlash over Givenchy’s controversial noose-inspired necklace.

The cosmetics mogul, 25, stepped out for dinner on Monday, January 23, wearing the questionable piece of jewelry, which features a hangman’s knot on one side with a rope-like loop on the other end. She paired the necklace with a bright blue dress and sparking pink boots, also by Givenchy.

When the piece originally went down the catwalk, one infuriated user tweeted, “Givenchy shows a ‘noose necklace’ in its Paris Fashion Week show. I guess a swastika, or a model carrying a gun, or wearing a white hood, were all too edgy.” Another person added, “Honestly in which world having a noose hanging on a girl’s neck is fashion? Spring/Summer 2022 dragged way back to 1822 … Young girls and guys don’t need to see this at any stage, especially at Paris Fashion Week.”

She also caused an uproar for adorning a curve-hugging black gown with a massive fake cut-off lion head attached to the front.

Kylie wore the dress to the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show.

The lifelike lion head, which was complete with a full mane, was sewn onto the bodice of Kylie’s dress.

She completed the look with a black velvet gown, gold-toed shoes and a croc-skin bag.

Kylie kept the lion head on as she sat in the front row at the fashion show.

In new Instagram photos of the gown in question, Kylie wrote in the caption: “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. followed by “thank you Daniel Roseberry and Schiaparelli for such a special morning. wow i loved wearing this faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials. beautiful beautiful.”
