Latto stepped into the studio of Power 106 Los Angeles and delivered some bars for the team at L.A. Leakers which went over the beat to Yung L.A.’s “Aint I.”
The self proclaimed queen of the South showed determination to show she deserves the title by dropping some lyrics that included “how the hell I’m pescatarian in a lamb chop truck?” She also spits, “Bitch, stop playin’ with my pen, I been that since 16/The pitch mean, I’m pullin’ rap hoes’ cards like the vaccine/Y’all seen on the flat screen, I’m a rap bitch bad dream/ Write, rap, and sing, plus the looks, bitch I’m a cash machine.”
Coming up in the scene as Mulatto she has been on WorldWide Entertainment TV’s Video Zone and voted by fans multiple times as the top “Rising Star and Underground Artist”, but she has surpassed those praises as she moves into mainstream level of fame. She changed her name to simply Latto earlier in the year due to controversy surrounding the history of the word. Latto has kept busy as well releasing new music in September titled “Big Energy.”
On Instagram prior to the release of “Big Energy,” Latto provided fans with even more clarification surrounding the change. “Short for the lottery. Completely separate from Mulatto, represents a new chapter, good fortune, spiritually & financially. Often referred to as Big Latto, the alter ego,” she explained.
