The Internet Had A Few People Dissing Rap Legend Lil Kim Over Her New Single ‘Big Santa Baby’ & Cardi B. Comes To Her Defense!

Lil Kim appeared on Nick Cannon’s talk show last week full of positivity for the holidays, but her latest single “Big Santa Baby” has seen some negativity.

The rap legend appears in the Holiday special Nick Cannon’s Miracles Across 125th Street show and soundtrack. Social media was quick to comment on the fun visual where Kim seduced Santa and she became a trending topic on Twitter.

The legendary New York rapper always seems to get compared to another New York rapper in Nicki Minaj. Some fans were not pleased with the change of style as others stated she was not comparable to the leader of “The Barbz”.

Fellow New York rapper Cardi B jumped on social media to defend Lil’ Kim along with some other Twitter users.  “Watching @LilKim get bullied, mocked, and disrespected by thousands of people online is really upsetting. The other day it was because of her halftime performance and now it’s because of a role she played in a movie. At what point will this weird hate bandwagon for Lil’ Kim end?.”

Cardi responded with, “I’m tired of it and it’s heartbreaking…She’s is so sweet ,supportive and a REAL FUCKIN LEGEND ..I remember when I used to beef wit bitches and I used to put on my MySpace her song FUCK YOU!I think it gotta be these 2000’s born kids on this app that don’t know about shit”!

EDI Don wasn’t finished there with his lambasting of people on social media treatment of celebrities. He continued, “All of these celebrities/public figures are human beings at the end of the day. Don’t pick and choose who you “protect” based on who you like, they all deserve to be protected and treated with respect.

Do fans take it too far online? Whatever the case, it is something to think about considering the contributions Lil’ Kim has given to the world of hip hop over the decades. A fan tried to call out Cardi B for only showing support to the former 1st lady of Bad Boy Records.

The Twitter user stated, ‘If you so tired of it then give her a collab bbg oh wait the only time it’s beneficial to support her is on Twitter.” Cardi B lashed back with “What do a collab go to do with someone constantly getting CYBER BULLY? before a artist I am a woman wit feelings and I know how much it hurts to constantly get picked on…When I collab wit her is going to be at the right time & the right song.I don’t rush BIG MOMENTS!.”
