A hip hop legend in Master P gets an honorary doctorate degree from Lincoln University.

Percy Miller, who received fame as hip hop star Master P, has added to his legacy with an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Lincoln University. He received the accolade alongside 400 graduates which included JAY-Z’s mother Gloria Carter, author/professor Michael Eric Dyson and professor Charles V. Hamilton.

“I guess I got to change my name to, Dr. P. Miller,” captions P, celebrating his accomplishment on his Instagram page. “From the projects to getting a Doctoral degree from @lincolnuniversityofpa Don’t be afraid to change, grow and educate yourself. I did it! You can do it. #GODISGOOD #Nevertoolate #hbcu #NoLimit There is NO limit to your dreams #DRPMiller.”

Master P shared the moment with his followers on social media and his son Romeo showed how proud he was of his dad by leaving a comment for everyone to see his approval. “You make everything look easy, but they don’t see the sleepless nights,” wrote Romeo. “I always pray to God to protect you because you only get sleep/rest on the plane. Congrats Dr. P and keep inspiring. Love u pops. #NoLimit.”

Master P has done things outside of hip hop such as trying out for the NBA’s Toronto Raptors and we congratulate him on another monumental moment in his life/career. Check out the video recap of the event below.
