Black Tea Blog covers the backlash being sent towards Houston hip hop artist, Megan Thee Stallion, being exposed on black Twitter.

The issue surrounds the Tory Lanez alleged incident against Megan Thee Stallion in the summer of 2020. Fans on the social media site believe that the female rapper was heavily pushing “protect black women” agenda when she was promoting her debut album.

There were incidents that occurred where some questioned why Megan Thee Stallion never stepped up to the plate with the “protect black woman” mantra. Things got heated on the gram when Megan Thee Stallion was taking aim at black blogs. People were calling her out saying she uses the black blogs for her own convenience.

The rapper out of nowhere stated on Twitter, “Black ran blogs talk the most shit abt me … but protect black women tho“.  A follower tweeted Megan and told her “don’t let it get to you , keep doing you sista cause we love you”. She responded in kind saying, “It don’t get to me it’s just…. Weird.”


This is where backlash started for the rapper as some people started to call her out over using black blogs and “protect black women” for her convenience and exposure. However, there were a group of people who are agreeing with her that blogs such as Onsite were the instigators. Check out the reactions below.

Black Tea blog reported on the fans who were calling out Megan Thee Stallion over using the “black empowerment” angle to help further her career.


In other Megan Thee Stallion news, the rapper took stage at Lolapalooza. “The Body” singer showed off her frame in a custom embellished leotard made out of band tees including AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Led Zeppelin and the Ramones. Lollapalooza on Saturday to a crowd of over ‘180,000 hotties.’ The rapper would acknowledge the huge audience stating,  ‘Over 180,000 HOTTIES!!! They said we had thee biggest crowd of @lollapalooza so far !!! Thank you Chicago.’
