The NBA has taken a stand recently for the unjust shooting of Jacob Blake through players and staff. According to Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report, the meeting featured some mediation from the likes of Michael Jordan, was in the role of a liaison between the players and the owners. Jordan relayed the message to the other owners that they should understand the players’ perspective, especially as a black man in America. Meanwhile, LeBron was the last person to jump on the call, where he asked the owners to be proactive with their efforts.
The joint call with the owners just concluded. Sources say players had a list of important things. Players want organizational changes – including dedicated coalition w/ Full time job to manage the issues. Voting, police reform, etc. Wanting to be proactive instead of reactive.

Sources say Lebron James was the last player to speak on the call and he delivered a strong, thoughtful message to the owners. His main point was that the work has to continue, and the owners have to truly dedicate to advancing this cause.

It seems that Snoop may have jumped the gun in terms of Michael Jordan’s current role in the NBA for social change and the short lived boycott. The teams are scheduled back for play in a couple days or so.
