Michelle Williams was at her peak of life creating music for Destiny’s Child, but when group broke up it led to depression.

The group would have  a historic run from the 90’s all the way up until 2005. Beyonce would go on to become one of the biggest stars on the planet, while the other two women seemed to not have the same level of success. When Destiny’s Child broke up in 2005, Michelle Williams says she didn’t know where her next steps in life would lead.

In a recent interview with ABC, Williams revealed how she is seeking treatment for depression and emotional issues and hopes that her story can help others. “I was not only at the point of having suicidal thoughts, there was an attempt” she says about her depression.

Michelle wanted everyone to also know that the music industry was not the cause of her depression. Her fellow Destiny’s Child members in Kelly and Beyonce also didn’t really know about the extent of her depression.  She attributes her emotional struggles to an unresolved issue from she was 7-years-old.
