The Migos are known for helping to usher in a new style in hip hop and want to be credited in Atlanta music history as one of the greatest of all-time.

It’s “Black Music Month” where the accomplishments of artists is celebrated. Atlanta will host the first ever Walk Of Fame for “Black Music And Entertainment” later this month. The group coming out of Atlanta believe that they should be recognized for the impact and work for the genre of hip hop in the same manner.

In recent weeks, there was a poll by Rap Radar concerning a Mount Rushmore Of Hip Hop For the ’10 era which included artists such as Drake and Nicki Minaj. In a media run to promote their new album, The Migos appeared on popular talk show, Breakfast Club. During the broadcast, the group made the claim that they should be apart of all-time greats on an Atlanta Mount Rushmore.

The Migos aren’t the first rappers to pronounce themselves as Mount Rushmore worthy. Kanye West famously put himself on Mount Rushmore for presidents during his run for the presidency of the United States in 2020. The Migos do indeed have an argument for their big claim with their stats and consistency. They have also in the past caused controversy with past all-time groups such as Bone Thugs N Harmony because of wanting groups to pay homage to them.
