Miss Jones Says Mary J. Blige “Can’t Sing”

Radio personality, Miss Jones, during a sit down interview with Drink Champs, stated that she thought the “Queen of Hip Hop Soul” can’t sing.

Trick Daddy recently also made the bold claim that Beyonce “can’t sing” during a radio segment and got stung by the Beyhive when they left numerous bad reviews for his restaurant.

The mother of Beyonce seems to be just as defensive of her daughter according to Miss Jones who claims that Tina Knowles wanted to fight her in the studio before she was scheduled to interview Beyonce. Nore wanted to know what Miss Jones did for Tina Knowles wanting to get physical with her.

Miss Jones stated that Mary J. Blige said a lot times Mary can’t sing, but was good at conveying emotion in her songs. She also believes in today’s entertainment world it isn’t about singing, but putting over your song.  Check out the clip below.



Miss Jones also revealed that she had relations with Tupac Shakur and Monie Love in the same episode of Drink Champs. 1990’s hip hop fans would remember Miss Jones on hit songs such as “Sugar Hill” with AZ and is a singer herself. It will be interesting if Mary J. Blige responds to her claim.

Before becoming host of WQHT’s Miss Jones in the Morning show, Jones was a Tommy Boy and Motown records recording artist. Jones achieved gold and multi-platinum recording success through her appearances with hip hop icons. Jones also acted in several movies such as Paper Soldiers, Corrupt, The Wrecking Crew and the RocAfella Records inspired film, Death of a Dynasty.

Born Tarsha Jones in Queens, New York, the media host first achieved fame as an R&B singer after being discovered by rapper Doug E. Fresh.
