The month of June saw uprisings across North America and the world for social justice and police reform. During the protests many businesses were looted and put on fire. Some of those businesses included black owned operations.
Before the riots, the coronavirus lockdown also hurt businesses. Many small businesses are struggling to reopen during the coronavirus pandemic, with Black-owned businesses being hit especially hard. CNN’s Phil Mattingly reports.
