Nicki Minaj and Coi Leray finally delivered “Blick Blick” and their fans were not disappointed. The anticipation of the song began when it was prematurely leaked that the two women had a song in the works. The person behind the early name drop was Coi’s father Benzino during a Clubhouse session.
That almost resulted in not having the single get released. Nicki revealed on Twitter that she “did pull” the verse but that “the label hit me going hard.” Luckily, she changed her mind.
“But rlly I had a private convo w/ Coi & that’s what changed my mind. Not the label,” Nicki said. “I just felt bad that she was robbed of telling the world in her own way @ her own time. But that’s water under the bridge now. Good vibes all 2022.”

The Barbz gravitated towards the song heavily upon its release and it hit number one on ITunes almost immediately. It has given Minaj the top spot in history for most number hits on the app.

The visuals are eye catching as the women rhyme to their new hit song. Nicki Minaj joins Coi Leray in colorful outfits, with both rappers looking sleek. Among the standout outfits, Minaj wears a strapless corset with pink and green accents that featured lace detailing. It was coordinated with tiny black distressed shorts and tie-dye Philipp Plein thigh-high boots featuring the brand’s signature skulls embellished with crystals on ice pick heels. The intense shoe, accompanied by the black corset, gave the musician a flattering boost of height and length. Minaj also rapped in a silver and black gradient wig and accessorized with several necklaces.

OK, so, Onika Tanya…
Song came out at 6AM my local time. Woke up at 7.30, went to the office at 9 & left at 6. I just got home & it’s 7PM.
Learned the whole verse & flow. I’m Italian. Skipped every N word. Recorded myself too. So…#WhatWasSaid? 😛 #BlickBlick 🎀 @NICKIMINAJ pic.twitter.com/WHJd1I4hwv
