Nicki Minaj has landed a new acting gig in an upcoming animated series called “Lady Danger,” according to a report by Deadline. In addition to lending her voice to the lead character, the rapper will also serve as an executive producer for the show. Produced by G-Unit Film & TV, the series follows a betrayed government field agent who is brought back to life by Lady Danger, an “afrofuturistic ass-kicking Agent of B.O.O.T.I.” The show will be broadcast on Amazon’s Freevee platform.
Despite her new role, Nicki has been keeping busy with other endeavors. She recently released a new song, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which received praise from both fans and critics. She also signed four new artists to her record label and made a performance at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles alongside Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz. Additionally, Nicki has been hinting at the possibility of signing Ice Spice to her label through her Twitter activity. While juggling all of these projects, the rapper still found time to take on a new acting opportunity.
Nicki Minaj starring in an animated series comes after the rap star has a child of her own. In September 2020, rapper Nicki Minaj gave birth to her first child, a baby boy. She kept details about her pregnancy and her son private for several months, but eventually shared photos and information about him on social media. In one Instagram post, she referred to her son as “Papa Bear” and expressed her love and gratitude for him. She has also posted pictures of his adorable outfits and toys, and shared videos of him cooing and smiling. In addition to being a new mom, Nicki has continued to work on music and other projects.
