Kenneth Petty who married rap star Nicki Minaj a few months ago has been arrested by U.S. Marshals on an indictment for failing to register as a sex offender according to TMZ. Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995, New York state records show. Petty, who was 16 years old at the time of the crime, served time in prison for the offense.
He turned himself into the Marshals on March 4th . Petty moved to California in July 2019 and in November while driving was pulled over in Beverly Hills. He was discovered failing to register as a sex offender in California after the traffic stop on November 15th.
Kenneth Petty appeared in court and plead not guilty. He was arrested and released on a $20,000 bond. The L.A. County D.A. charged him for failing to register as a sex offender.
